Lawrence Street is lower part of the Hull Road (closest to city walls). It is closer to the city centre than most of the other university areas of York. It would be a location better suited to students at the York University. Even better for those of you who like to pop into do shopping and eating out.
There are several take away shops and newsagents as well as many pubs.
