HESLINGTON

Heslington is located out to the East of the city. This is where the campus for York University is, making this a perfect place to live for those who don't want a long walk to Uni. The houses here are often of a good size, and more often than not have good gardens. One of the beauties of Heslington is that you are only a short walk from parks and open fields - ideal for summer. There are a few local amenities, though it does lack a full size supermarket! To get to the centre of York it is only 5 minutes on the bus so it is not a problem.

Rent in Heslington is not the cheapest - this is partly down to the location but also to the fact that most of the houses are large and spacious. Rent in Heslington starts at about £50 and goes up to £80 at the top end.
