BISHOPTHORPE ROAD AREA

Bishopthorpe Road is located to the south of the city centre. It is no more than a 10 minute walk to town. It is located very close to York Race Course and the infamous Terrys chocolate factory. To get to York University it would be quite a walk, you would be looking at 20 minutes, so the bus might be better. To get to St. Johns its only a 10-15 minute walk and its even closer to the Law College. There are a number of local shops which should ensure that you don’t have to go miles to get what you need.

Rent around the Bishopthorpe Road is quite reasonable; from £55-70pppw. It is a really nice area to live, it’s a shame it’s not a little closer to the Uni.
