Jesmond is probably the most popular of student areas in Newcastle. It is situated just a 10-15 minute walk from the Uni and centre of town. Jesmond has two Metro stations: Jesmond and West Jesmond, it takes about three minutes to get to Haymarket on the Metro; season tickets are fairly priced if you use it more than once a day or all week.
Jesmond is home to the infamous Osbourne Road. Here you will find a number of popular bars and restaurants like Scalinis, Osbournes, Bar Belise, Bar Blanc etc... Jesmond also has a Tesco Metro to cater for all your needs just situated off the Osbourne Road on Acorn Road.
Jesmond has some of the higher rents in Newcastle due to its popularity and convenience. You are looking at an average rent of about £60-65pppw, the lowest of around £50pppw right up to the top at £100pppw.
