GOSFORTH

This is a very popular student area. It is situated a little further out than Jesmond, Sandyford or Spittal Tongues however it has the Metro on its doorstep and also a good bus service. Gosforth has a higher percentage of Families living in the area so you do have to be maybe a little more considerate than you might have to be in Jesmond. There are lots of local amenities in the area, ranging from supermarkets to hardware stores; you won’t find the need to go far. At night it is only about £7 to get home in a taxi which is not expensive between 4 or more of you!

The rent ranges from about £50-£70 on average. The houses are often that little bit bigger too so you can be sure to get a bit more for your money. In somewhere like Jesmond you pay for the name!
